As Long as We're Talking Chinese Elm

In a comment on my Hibiscus Vase, Candy mentioned Chinese Elm. So, I decided to post my two sets of small items made from that astounding species. This is a set of six Tea Lites. There’s still a sizable length of the branch left. I still haven’t decided whether to make it a set of seven, or to use the leftover bit for a base on which to mount the six. It’s all in a box. It has nothing but time.

The stick.

The stick, chopped up.

The chopped up stick posing with the set of four.

Very neat Mark

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

Sure getting some mileage with the Chinese’s Elm Branch Mark, there are real nice. Must do some pruning shortly and see what the wood is like.

Fascinating what you get from piece of lumber someone would put in fire.

Mark, I am ashamed of myself that I didn’t comment on this when you posted it. The tea lights are lovely! Forgive me? Thank you for sharing.

Thank you, Candy. Forgive You? I am a worm, pet. That you should pay any attention to me at all is something for which I am deeply grateful.
