After I retired one of the very first things I did was take an adult eduction class in woodworking. This night stand was the project. I enjoyed the class and the results. The class provided the eduction and confidence I needed to actually finish a project such as this.

Speaks well for the instruction you received… very nice. Evidently, you followed instruction nicely, quite an impressive piece. Did you do those walnut bowls in class… or just a home project? Well done, too.

I’d like to find an adult education class in my area. Meanwhile… I get a lot of help from the Mason-Dixon woodworker’s club.

I really like this. Can you give details on your finishing process?

Don, that is a nice piece of furniture. I really enjoy the look of this style of furniture and cherry is such a gorgeous wood.

A funny thing happened on the way to finishing this piece … I hadn’t as yet actually taken the finishing class. And as things go, I still haven’t finished it. Eventually I will, but let’s say I don’t get to it for awhile – what will happen?
