well i just finished my federal style table (from instructions of t-chisel forum) it was a real challenge to build it but it was also fun, i learned a lot and i am happy with the result.
the wood is walnut and the secondary wood is soft maple. i finish it with blo then shellac and a final rub with wax.
this is the first time i make dovetails, work with veneer so i make many mistakes and i dont try to hide them because i think you have to learn from your mistakes. i still have to put the pull for the drawer.

fito, Great job on the Federal Table.. what did you end up doing w/ the legs? The original plans for the Crazy Leg Federal Table on Tommy's site had 4 unique leg designs?
If you have a chance, you should post some pictures and document some of your experiences building the table on tommy’s forum. I know he would appreciate it.
