Fireplace Surround

I got tired of looking at the plain old standard fireplace that came with my townhome so I ripped it all down one day.

After I finished huffing and puffing was done, I built this surround out of Jatoba. Without a doubt, this was the hardest piece I have ever done with the angles, design and not to mention just working with Jatoba. If you’ve ever worked with Jatoba, you know what I mean….

The white wood was a purchase, I’m not that good…..

For some reason, my Golden Retriever (Snickers) seems oblivious to all my hard work. Dogs can be so critical…..
