This was a project that I just designed and made one day. It is a small knick-knack shelf. The wood is cherry and all I did was use a semi-gloss poly. The only problem I had was that the router made burn marks and I couldn’t get them off. The shelf came out real good and I like it. Hope you all enjoy it and thanks for the comments good and bad!

The shelf looks nice. I like the design. Thanks for sharing the project. Here’s a tip on sanding away burns in end grain: wet the burned area with water or mineral spirits. This will soften the fibers and make them easier to sand.
