Reptile Enclosure

I can’t take credit for the fabrication of this project. That credit goes to my grandfather. I can, however, take credit for the design.

For years I wanted to build my reptiles a nice enclosure. Prior to this, they were in 30 gallon aquariums. One sitting on a table I built out of 2×4s and MDF years ago, the other under the table. It was quite an eyesore. I mentioned this to my grandfather and he told me he could build it if I could design it. So I went home and fired up Sketchup. Two months later, and I have my vision turned into a real piece of furniture.

Now my reptiles are in a very sturdy and secure home, and I have the itch to create more. We recently moved into a new home that has a nice 450 sqft workshop. I just got notice that the power tools I ordered hit the freight terminal today. I’m very excited to get started.

What have you got other then the beardy? Ive had a love affair with reptiles for a while now. Don’t have any now since I have the kids. Shame you can’t keep them in cages (lol). I’ve had 4 Ball Pytons, mali uromastics, black and white tegu, 2 ribbion snakes, lepord geckos, etc. All have gone to the great resting in the sky, or given to competent care takers.

I have a ball python in the top. He’s very shy and only comes out after the lights are out. I’ve had him about 8 years and the beardie for about 5. I love ‘em, and any time someone visits, they want to see the reptiles.
