I enjoy getting Christmas building done early so I can concentrate on actually enjoying the holidays without the “I need to get this done” pressure.

Almost all walnut, maple, ash, cherry and a touch of mahogany. Finish is simple mineral oil.

I plan to give the small face grain ones (4th picture) to the girls at work.

Thanks for looking.

Those are beauties, Betsy! Love the patterns, too!

Nice finish on that last picture ;^)

Thanks guys – It’s been fun for sure. Can never not have a good time making saw dust.

Lew the last one is still a work in progress – but still I figure he’s the picture of dreaming of sugar plums and all that – so since it’s Christmas presents that I’m showing – he fits right in with the theme! :-)

Beautiful boards. They will certainly make wonderful gifts. The board in the 2nd pic is really quite mesmerizing. Nice work and design on these.

Mighty fine job on the end grain boards, Betsy. Now that you know how to do that, the design possibilities are endless. You have a good eye for the color placements.

Stellar job on the boards, Betsy….Plenty of great designs, and all are very different….I like ‘em…That last one looks a bit “fuzzy”....or maybe I should say “hairy”....

Thanks all – I appreciate the compliments.

Yep that last one always seems to sneak in somewhere – he’s clever that way.

Betsy, these will all be wonderful gifts. Congratulations and very productive and wise to get such an early start.
