This is one of the cutting boards I’ve been working on lately. It’s 12”x13” so it would fit through the planer. It was really tough on the blades but they’re due to be changed anyway and it took care of flattening the board since I don’t have a thickness sander. It is checkerboard oak and walnut end grain cutting surface wrapped in a layer of oak and another of walnut. I didn’t miter the corners of the outside layers because I figured the swelling of the field would blow the corners apart. We’ll see how it holds up. The mineral oil finish really brought out the color of the walnut. I won’t use it for meat since the oak is so porous but I really liked the way it turned out. Thanks for looking.
