It’s time to make ready for Halloween. My neighbor will costume herself as Bellatrix Le Strange, the evil sorceress, from the Harry Potter books. To accessorize she needed a wand. On the net I found a rendition of Bellatrix’s wand(third picture) and made an outline of it(second picture). I adhered the outline onto a piece of cedar; cut it; and, shaped it into the final wand. I made it from from the quite soft cedar to allow it to be easily embellished with the various symbols, icons and markings on the Bellatrix wand.

Have a wonderful and magical day, lumberjocks.
