I built this over a break from classes a few years ago. My mom asked me to build her a spice rack so she received one for (a delayed) mothers day. She liked it so much she bolted it to the wall and bought new apothecary bottles for it.
The wood is black cyprus recycled from bookshelves I tore out of my room. I tried to follow some plans from a Colonial American project book. I had a time with the bandsaw and got tired of sanding so the contour is not as smooth as I’d like it to be. Overall, it’s pretty sturdy and serves its purpose. I’d like to build one for myself sometime.

Nice Job. Great use of recycled wood. I’m sure your mom will cherish it for years to come. Keep up the good work.
