Greetings all…after a lot of friendly encouragement from Dorje here is the finished side table he and I built last winter/spring. It all quarter sawed white oak. It was a great learning experience! I start milling lumber for a sideboard this week…

Nice table, the quarter-sawn white oak has a lot of rays in it. Looks really great… Like the dog also. I take it he was yawning and not sticking his or her tongue out at you!!!!!!!

If memory serves…I started with an alcohol based dye, followed by a gel stain, followed by shellac and finally a coat or two of poly…I may have the item or two out of order…
