Brand new to Wood Working. This my second build. I built some Adirondack chairs earlier this year. This a 5 Foot plantation swing I built for my wife. I used pressure treated wood. New skills on this project: half lap joints, 3/8 rounder over with my new router. Used my new bandsaw. Enjoyed building this!

NICE! I have been looking for a porch swing plans. I like this design. Did you use a plan or did a “do it yourself” concept?

Mixture of both. I had a arm from Adirondack. The seat and back are lapped jointed together at 15 degree angle. My wife is happy. I set the post yesterday and hanging it this weekend. I sunk 6×6 in ground three feet. The hardest part of this build was digging a 12” by 12” hole in this South Carolina Clay!

your swing makes me so homesick for the swing at my uncles’ house. Those were such wonderful memories. Thank you!!!
