Grandsons’ Clothes Tree…..My daughter-in-law wanted a special place for the boys to hang their play costumes and other clothing in the corner of their bedroom…...viola… The best part was that the boys got to “help” Grandpa with the project.
I scrounged up an old piece…about 2 ft. x 8 ft….. of half inch plywood and managed to get two trunk halves and six branches out of it. The trunk straddles a wiring cord channel in the corner and is held in place by screws. The branches and leaves are attached to the trunk with screws, and the two birds are attached to the back of two of the branches in the same manner. I drilled two holes in each branch at a 10 degree angle and glued in dowels for hanging, and the ends of the branches are also availaable to hold clothing. I stained the trunk and branches with a combo stain and poly product and painted the leaves and birds with Krylon spray. The whole unit stands about 7 ft. tall and extends from the corner about 2 ft. each way.

John, nice project and ideas. I especially like the birds. “Granpa” projects are the best and great fun. Thanks for sharing this.
