This is RISE!
the modern day sculpture in part of the go green woodworking system I’ve used when possible.
This actually started as a scrapwood piece of cherry from florida that a classmate brought back for me to sculpt. I went at it with a grinder, varying the bits along the way. I then power sanded and hand sanded. Then came the dying effect with a sunburst going on using waterbase dyes. The i dremeled out areas to glue in tibet quartz. It is then layered in laquer.
Medium – Florida cherry wood, tibetan quartz
size – 20 in 9 in 7 in
date created- march 2009
FOR SALE – $1000

Would be curious about what sort of grinder and grinder attachments you used. Very interesting piece.
