A friend of mine got married this weekend and I made a wine box for them as a gift. It is made of Honduran Mahogany with a Maple lid. I used some simple box joints made with a router jig. I used brass pins help keep the handle portion of the lid in place. Finish is a couple coats of BLO.

Very nice wine box. I love the brass accents. They should really like it.

Very clean looking-everything went together very well; contrasting wood, bass pins, box joints.

Thanks for sharing.

Great looking gift. Did you use the shavings as packing material? Go State?
