I slapped this together one day to relieve some clutter in my shop. It’s on caster wheels and seems to be a partial solution. I just need more room.

Judging by the last photo, it’s time to build another box.

Your storage box goes horizontal while mine goes vertical (no wheels), almost to the ceiling.

Any organization is good. Nice build…...............

Hey BB,

That storage bin looks like the ticket to clean up small parts and cut-offs….It’s almost impossible to keep small parts rounded up, so a storage bin is a good solution….

Here’s mine that I built for my shop several years ago….All shops need a good bin….I call mine a “shorts bin”

Wish I had more room. The one I built was more like Rick’s.

I like it Rick. Wish I’d seen it before I built mine. I might have copied yours.

It’s amazing how so many cut-offs can accumulate in and around the shop.

That will help out a lot and it has a lot of room in it for odds and ends. We must always stay on top of our scrap and drops lest they take over the shop. You can also build another one like Rick posted for longer pieces of scrap. I need to do the same. My lumber rack is almost full. I may have to store some drop in my storage shed and maybe also put up some cantilever shelves in some higher wall space. I still have an attic storage space that is empty but it’s not very convenient to store raw materials in an attic.

From what I can see from your pictures and some of your projects you make a good effort to keep your shop in an orderly manner. Keep up the good work. That bed that you built for your Daughter looks very nice. I would have a very hard time in my shop to build something that big. I should have built my shop at least 35 by 35 for the main room instead of 30×30. I did make a 15×30 foot addition but it is for special shop purposes. I have too much stuff in my shop.
