Toy Truck and Trailer

Project by jdwood posted 139 days ago 373 views 3 times favorited 5 comments Add to Favorites Watch

Finally…I was able to get back out into the garage to have some fun. My son Nate is only 18 months old but he loves anything with wheels. At first i was just going to make a small truck for him but then decided to add the trailer to make the toy a little more interesting for him. Now he can use just the truck and then back it up to the trailer and off he goes with the combo. I haven’t given it to him yet…still waiting for the glue to dry.

I got the wheels and axles at a craft store and I made everything else out of a hunk of 2×4. I have ordered very large wood wheels from Rockler.com but I still have to figure out what to do with them….they are pretty big.

Thanks for looking!

Jason

Great use of a 2×4. I have a couple of nephews that would love to have one. It’s projects like that that they will cherish for years to come. Like it.

Wonderful Job Jason and you have inspired me to get in the shop and make a couple of these for my 2 grandsons. I love the simple design you have chosen.
