I was commisioned to build this table by a coworker. He asked for a table that he could take out onto his small balcony to enjoy a coffee. It had to be the same height as his dining table (so he could use on of the chairs) and small enough to fit through the narrow balcony door (20”).
It is solid maple and my first use of mortise and tennon joinery. The very simple square design was asked for by the customer. I used birds eye maple for the aprons and lower stretchers. The finish is BLO and wipe on poly.
