Hi everyone, well this project came about as a matter of necessity, limitation on space, and of course budgetary constraints. Wifey gave me a room in our home and let me decorate/furnish it as I pleased, well after buying some manly reclining leather theatre seats, my 52” tv, “repurposed from another room!” LOL. I still needed someplace to put my “manly books!” and cool dude stuff that I had collected over the years. After looking at the CRAP! that the furniture store is passing off as book shelving and having the audacity to charge an arm and a leg for said crap, I decided to build these suckers myself. Off to Lowes I went and the pics are the result. Lessons learned. square off your work! and check it again often!!!, and when you realized that your stuff isn’t squared, well then resort to plan B. Use Trim to make it look square!!! BOOM MIND BLOWN!!!!, and paint and wood filler are remarkable little additives that can transform just about any piece of wood and mistakes made on that wood into an attractive piece of useable, “manly” furniture…

This is a very clean looking bookcase. Congratulations and welcome to Lumberjocks.

Do I see a Twilight book on that manly shelf?? I know, I know, it’s there by mistake, right? I do like the small shelves and compartments, though.
