This is part 1 of 5 in a bedroom suite I’m building for my wife.
It is solid walnut with zebrawood panels.
The design is very simple and square as the wife like this modern (european?) style.
The rest of the bedroom suite will be 2 dressers and 2 night tables. One of the dressers is almost done and I will post it soon,
I have to appologize for the quality of pictures. What can I say? I’m a woodworker, not a photographer…
It looks way better in person.
The finish is several coats of Danish oil.

nice piece. The close-up really shows the beauty of the wood grain on both species of wood. Is the bed on a metal rail frame or did you make some type of base too?

Thanks for the comments. Craftsman on the lake, the bed sits on a metal frame. It’s just a headboard. I would have preferred a full wood bed, but the wife did not want that. And of coarse she gets what she wants!
