This is a “kind of like mission” bookcase I made out of Jatoba, with some curly maple accents and some very small purpleheart add ins.

Loved working with the Jatoba, except it was hard to sand cleanly. Very sensitive surface.

The shelves are simply dado’ed into the 3 vertical panels.

You can see the full progression over here.

It is still awaiting a finish – I’m not sure what to use yet.
