These shelves were added at the request of my wife while she was planning our new (soon to be) daughter’s room. I had a different view on what should be there, but my wife tends to be a little more simplistic in her design. The only special item of note in the entire design is shown in the third photo. Here I tried to add a hidden compartment where she would one day be able to hide her personal items. I hinged the front face in order to allow it to swing closed when not in use, however it doesn’t close completely. After asking around, I will probably have to add some magnets to the faces in order to draw it closed.
Made of 3/4” MDF (I HATE MDF), and the trim is homemade with Poplar. All painted white to match the trim color of the house. Nothing special, but turned out pretty good.
