Sadly I lost a very good mate on September 12th 2015. He was a fine man and a good musician, his love of music is depicted in the line “Meet on the ledge” which he had adopted as a parting when he was saying farewell to friends and acquaintances. It is a song title from a group called Fairport Convention. When I first met him he was living on a narrow boat on the River Trent at Beeston, Nottingham. and his boat was called Fairport. He knew the band members of both Fairport Convention and Steeleye Span on a personal basis. His other life interest was the North American Indian tribes and their culture, he asked me several years ago to make him a Thunderbird that he could wear as a pendant which he used to wear on a daily basis (photo 3 is of that pendant, so with that in mind I carved a replica of that pendant onto this memorial. The memorial hangs in a local cafe where we used to meet on a daily basis for quite a few years. Needless to say I will miss him immensely it is difficult to find the right words to express my feeling of loss, but tis I can do for him. RIP Tony meet on the ledge one day.

Bill, well said. His friendship must have ment a lot to you, it shows in the carving and the words you used. Iv’e spent a lot of hours listening to both Fairport and Steeleye. Two of my favorite bands. My condolences on your loss.
