That’s a fine looking box. I like the live edge at the front of the lid. I’ve never worked with Mesquite but I have always admired the projects made from it. It’s a beautiful wood. I have considered trying the hidden pin hinges that Lee Valley is selling. What are your thoughts on them?

We were on vacation last summer in Galveston, Tx. I found a sawmill close by that cut mesquite. I really like the figure in it. I like the Lee Valley hidden hinge pins. They make the box look smooth with no metal hanging off the back. I should have taken a rear view pic. The hinge pins came with great instructions. You just drill some holes. The slots make it so you can take the lid off. Thanks guys for the compliments.

This box turned out nicely.
