Removed the top and built in sides to accommodate a larger television, added storage space for audio-visual components and changed the cabinet style from built in to free standing. Photos to follow once the piece is restained.

Good retro job. don’t let my wife see it. She wanted my to cut down our oak Ent Ctr to put a huge TV on top and I cut out the inside a bit to get a 32” in there and that worked for both of us!!
