Project Information

Hi, Everyone!

I thought I would add this project to my gallery since the holidays are right around the corner. I designed six layered angel scroll saw ornaments that I thought you would enjoy.

All the ornaments are made from wood, but I decided to stack cut them and do some simple painting on them as well.

The hard wood ornaments are made from ash and maple, with the ash being used for the angels themselves and the wings made of the maple. I finished them using a mixture of mineral oil and beeswax and then lightly sprayed them with spray shellac.

The painted set is made of Baltic birch plywood and painted using acrylic paint. I just followed the veining lines in the design for easy-peasy painting.

I hope you enjoy seeing them! (The pattern is available at my website.)
