Tool Hanger for my TS

Project by jerryz posted 221 days ago 546 views 3 times favorited 9 comments Add to Favorites Watch

I wanted to have a hanger for the accesory tools of my table saw. I saw the MagSwitch Hook but they retail at around $40.00
I like the idea of being able to relocate the hanger when needed, soo a spark hit me.
I got myself a Magnetic Jig from Woodcraft, the 30mm version, a couple of steel hooks from the orange store (the black one in front came with my TS) 2 scraps of 3/4” pine and some glue and presto.
Works like a charm.
Drilled the hole for the mag-jig with a forstner bit.
My son helped me making it as well as taking the photos.

Good idea Jerry. Always great to be able to build something to be able to save some green.

Great idea – though I am sure that Calamity Jane (me!) would find a way to catch myself on one of those hooks!!!

Jerry, this is a nice addition to your saw. These tools have got to go someplace and we usually end up laying them on the saw wings or on a bench beside the saw. Then they either have to be constantly moved to use the saw or end up disappearing from the bench. You have engineered a good storage solution with this project.

I like it!! It is nice to be able to find those things when you need them and when they are that handy it makes for a productive shop. In my world time is valuable.
