This is a box I made for the Wallowa County Arts Festival here in Joseph in June. It was purchased for the permanent collection of Artists of the Wallowas Collection. The wood is spallted elm that I used on Richie’s Counter and Mary’s box. The handle is cocobolo with walnut stand offs.

kcrandy- the wood is spalted elm a friend has quite a bit of. I’ve used it for three projects so far. He saws it for me to my specs. I’ve used the black strip on another box for Mary.

oh what an honour!
The handle is a good indication of the time put into this box—wonderful line up of the grain.

I really like that box. The handle is perfect. What finish did you use to keep it so white? Really nice job on the grain wrap.
