Turned some cedar logs from a tree I was asked to take down from a friends land into a rustic, mortise and tenon chair. First chair I’ve ever made. Hoping I can post more picture to finish out the process.

I’d say your first chair turned out very well. Tell more about the grinder and wheel you used.

Just an angle grinder with an 80grit wheel. Followed by a homemade scraper, rasp, files, hand sanding. Finished with helmsman spar.
