Tack box I made for a horse boarder of mine. Top made from scrap walnut, padauk, purple heart, maple, zebra wood.

Very nice! I have built a number of these over the years because my wife is a horse woman and very involved with 4h. That being a nice box and horse people being horse people, I hope you oiled it well!

Kevin, nice tack boxes. Since I know what a tack box is and does, I had some sense of the size and use. However, if you would include dimensions and give readers a broader sense of what goes onto the interior compartments in your posts, it would be a help to readers. You can edit your posts at any time on this site by clicking the red “edit” at the top of your post.

It is difficult for readers to get a sense of scale from just pictures. At first glance I thought this was a box for thumbtacks. The box is a nice design and you have some well done pictures in your post. Keep boxing and keep posting.

I’m really starting to like all these mosaic pieces that are being listed on here. Good to know that all those scrap bits I have in storage could possibly become as beautiful as this!
