This painted bookshelf for my youngest son’s bedroom is my first piece of “furniture” I’ve made. Pretty simple in design and workmanship, but I’m confident it will to last forever. It’s made of poplar and the sides are 3/4 birch ply. 3 coats of a spray applied cabinet paint.

Very nice shelf unit. I built a very similar shelf and I think that it too will be around for a long time.
