This is the only Western Hemlock Burl I’ve come across. I love the wood; hard, nice grain, easy to work with, not too dusty. It is 9.25” by 3.75”, salad bowl finish. Wish I had my coring tool when I did this one. After it was finished one of my daughters looked at it and said there is a key hole in the bottom of it. Funny how I spent so much time on it and never noticed. Mark, my other daughter was home with her camera on the weekend and took a pile of photos for me, I’ll post some projects over the next while.

This is the second time in as many days. First, Figured Redwood. Now, you, with a Hemlock Burl. These are both Pine trees, and shouldn’t have such things. Pretty bowl. Pretty, pretty bowl.
