Oak Gun Cabinet

Nice job. I have to make one someday for myself and have a lot of flooring left over from a recent job. I may save it for that thanks for the reminder and the post. Did you make it from plans and what finish did you use?

It holds 8 guns with one of those places for a double barrel shotgun, I didn’t have any plans, I ripped the tongue and groves off, It’s finished with Minwax red oak stain with 3 coats of Minwax wipe on polyurathane.

Great idea for using the leftovers….Ive been using some leftovers from a friends floor job also….but for making boxes and drawer fronts….I hadn’t come up with such a great idea….thank you for the inspiration….

I’d love to put my guns in a nice display cabinet but the local thieves seem to be targeting firearms. Had to go all steel and forget the beauty. Certainly a sad sign of the times. BTKS
