A couple more rattles

Project by pinkfish posted 149 days ago 284 views 0 times favorited 4 comments Add to Favorites Watch

I make a few of these rattles now and then for kids when they are born. Here a couple more. They are made from hard maple with a space routed out with a box bit, then glued together to make a whiole. I burn on the name with a nice soldering iron too.

Very cool rattles. Reminds me, I’ve got a new grandson I could make a couple for. Thanks for the idea.

I have plastic beads I was using for kaleidoscopes, I put those in it. Whatever sounds good though works, corn would also work. I have seen people make captured ring rattles too, although I think I like the enclosed ones.
