This is a hollow shafted canoe paddle made of some scrap cedar and a few strips of oak and poplar.
The shaft being hollow makes it super light weight. I haven’t weighed this one yet, but guessing 16-20 ounces!
The blade had a layer of 6ox fiberglass on each side. a bit of epoxy and finished with a few coats of spar varnish.
-- If we could just get everyone to close their eyes and visualize world peace for an hour, imagine how serene and quiet it would be until the looting started.
