Your handle seems a great improvement over the typical hotdog. Nice design and execution.

Don't know how it feels, of course, but that is a cool handle. The only question I would have on the checkering is whether it would be an irritant to your hand depending on how you hold it. I like my plane handles really smooth to avoid that.

Sorry to be a newb, what is the hot dog handle? I really like this because with my huge paws it will give me a much better place to grab.

Did you drill and tap the 1/4 20 holes or use a nut on the inside?

Drilled and taped ,then cut to size so they tightened flush
