Bloodwood Segmented Candy/Nut Dish

Project by taidsturning posted 153 days ago 293 views 0 times favorited 4 comments Add to Favorites Watch

The base is Canarywood and the two Bloodwood layers use Maple and Satinwood separators respectively. I turned the Satinwood to expose the end grain for a little added interest The bowl is about 6.5” in diameter and about 2.5” tall. The finish is Tung Oil.

Another beautiful bowl. I just love that bloodwood. Where do you get it?

Wow, that looks really good. Bloodwood and canarywood are two of my favorites. Excellent job combining them.

Did you turn the bowl from a solid block or did you build up a “ring” and turn that?
