This is a simple birdhouse. Built by my oldest son 13 years old. His first project using my super panel sled. Made from leftovers 1/2” red oak ply. I told him he did a great job. I am a proud papa lol.. He is going to be a great woodworker. Glad I found this site to show off his work. Let him know guys and gals to help inspire his woodworking hobby. He made this birdhouse for his grand dad. I think his G-pa will be showing it off to his friends. He is a great kid trying to keep him on the right road of life. Lets see how showing off his project inspires him. Yall have a safe weekend stay cool its a real hot summer already.

good work , son !
i wanted to be a carpenter when i was your age ,
but didn’t get to learn ,
until i was 20 .
thanks for the reminder with the bird house ,
i got birds living in the rafters on my porch,
so i’ll start making houses for them soon .
just pay attention to the tools ,
don’t ever get over confident .
thats where mistakes and accidents come from.
i bet your grandpa is real happy ,
i know your dad is ,
so you be too !
maybe someday soon you will have your own site here ,
i look forward to it ,and some new projects from you .
listen to the tools , they will tell you ,
when they are having a hard time !

Good job. Bravo Zulu to the young lad. My grand daughter Lexy wants to make one for her mom. Will be a good project for her and fun for Gpa.

He did a nice job and both you and he should be proud. Working with my son was a special time. Enjoy it. It is so fleeting.

Nothing beats time in the shop with the kids. Good job, son and dad! You know what they say about idle hands. Looks like your doing your part to keep them busy. BTKS

We’re addicted to birdhouses around here. This will look great in a backyard—or in a house, on a shelf, on display :D
