A couple of intarsia projects that I made a while ago. Actually, the first two and only two, thus far, that I have made. Actually, now that I think about it, they are segmentation pieces arent they, since they were cut from the same piece of wood? Someone enlighten me. That’s the difference correct? Multiple pieces vs. a sinlge piece.

Intarsia is about different wood to make the different pieces of different colors and grains,, not one wood painted.
Still looks good., but different timbers would look better IMHO

And roger. Living where I am, I have a very limited access to lumber, so most of what I make, besides pens, is made of pine, red oak, poplar, and plywood. All Home Depot supplies unfortunately.
