I had a decently thick piece of material as the waste cut-off from a big-block butcher block that I decided to turn down to a cylinder on my lathe and turn into a rolling pin. I posted that in my Etsy shop and someone liked the look of the piece, but wanted one that was longer. The original – shown in the last two pics – was cherry, walnut and mahogany. The larger one is cherry, walnut and hickory. The larger one is 17” long and 2.25” diameter. The smaller one is 10” diameter and 1.75” diameter. Both are finished with butcher block finish and buffed to a high sheen with a buffing wheel.
