Great looking table.
But tell her if she put an actual machine in it you could save on the electric bill, and she’d be getting some exercise at the same time. :-)

Hey Doug,
My darling mother had one of these when I was a kid and I would spend hours playing engine rooms and ships under the machine while she pedalled her heart out making clothes from rags…....man…..that pic sure brings back some really fond memories.

Great idea, I have one of these frames and was wondering what to do with it. I may have to copy yours.

The Singer Sewing machine cabinets were QSWO, your right about that Larry. This exact project is what got me started with woodworking back in September. I haven’t finished it yet…. The legs and treadle are in the last stages of stripping. It was so cold when I was doing this I lost interest. I paid $75.00 for mine complete with machine.
Seeing yours completed Doug makes me want to dig it back out and finish.
You did a great job !!

My mom has one that I fixed up a few years ago, the QSWO veneer needs some attention, but the sewing machine works. Good job with yours.
