Jewelry Pieces

Project by MrsN posted 156 days ago 363 views 2 times favorited 8 comments Add to Favorites Watch

I have been inspired by some of the cool rings and things posted here, so I made some jewelry of my own. The projects have been fun to work on. The pieces take so little material so these have been made of scraps and cut-offs from the lumber store, so I am not entirely sure I know what the materials are. I believe the materials are maple, purple heart, ebony, some type of rose wood, and bocote. The beads in the earrings were “borrowed” from a friends bead collection, so she is claiming one of the sets. The bracelet is made from a very rare and exotic material, birch plywood. I made it as a prototype to test the size and proportion of a future project, but it is growing on me a little so I thought I would include it in the pictures today.
Thanks for looking, I welcome comments of any sort.

They look nice. Are the ear rings a bit heavy?

Fantastic jewelry! Great veriety of shapes and wood used. The beads set them off even more.

Great job. Perfect little scrap wood projects!

Keep it up.

I always liked jewellery. Use to make ceramic earrings and necklaces.
Great wood hobby. The more you do the more ideas you’ll get.
Cheers!

They really are not heavy at all. I have several earrings that are made from other materials in my jewelry box that are hevier.
I had a lot of fun making these.
