We went to the Port Townsend, WA Wooden Boat Festival last year for my birthday. My girlfriend bought this poster with the understanding that I’d make a frame for it. I finally got around to it. Here’s what I came up with, thanks to Dan's inspiration. I chickened out on the fancy scrollwork cuts on the top corners, but I may try it some time in the future. It’s QSWO with Red Mahogany Danish Oil, so it matches the mantel.
My next venture will be a pair of frames (one for us, and one for Framer’s Workshop) for a Yoshiko Yamamoto print ala Dan.

Nice frame and I couldn’t agree more about Dan. His work is very artistic and inspirational, he was also quite helpful in providing me guidance on one of my projects.

I lived in PTW for a year also…no way to make a living for me at least. But we did enjoy looking out in the San Juans…at least I think that is the name. We still visit there but it is a long way from Texas (I drove it 2x in one summer).
