This is a music box I made for a friend’s birthday back in March. I used oak with a Minwax Golden Oak stain, and then sealed with polyurethane. The music movement plays Pachelbel’s Canon in D, which is one of my friend’s favorite songs from back in her cello-playing days. I purchased the movement from Klockit, and decided at the last minute to glue a mirror to the lid of the box. If I could do it over, I’d cut the lid away from the box with a table saw as opposed to a band saw, but overall I think it came out fairly well. Comments, suggestions, good jokes and all other manner of verbiage welcome.

Great job on this box with sound! Love the big box joints. They give the box a little more pop.
Keep it up.
