This is another adirondack based off of the old fence picket one I posted. This one is made from cedar fence pickets and is sort of a prototype for a set i am going to make out of 4/4 western cedar boards. this one turned out nice and it is very sturdy. the legs are laminated together for extra strength.i wish had made the arms the same way but they have extra supports above legs for added strength.

I was actually surprised at how sturdy the chairs came out being 5/8 inch thick boards.I glued all the main joints and they will get 2 inch bolts thru each leg and the back and arm supports.
These are not traditional adirondacks but i like this style for for conversation and stuff and is still quite comfy. The traditional is better for laid back and relaxing

Nice chair and a great use of economy wood. This design is also a lot more comfortable for older folk with bad backs. The traditional Adirondack design is hard to get up from.
