Excellent chest! Absolutely beautiful. I like the design and finish. Did you use black hardware – if so, my I ask where you got your hardware. I am looking for black piano hinge and lid supports. Agai, great looking chest!

What did you use for the cedar? From the picture it almost looks like it is on the back side of the oak plywood inserts.

I didn’t use black hardware. I used an antique brass hinge and it isn’t a piano hinge it is two non-mortising hinges from Woodcraft.

The cedar is from a kit intended for a closet. It is tongue and grooved and I just had to cut it to fit.

Thanks David, I haven’t had much time in the shop lately. Like you I had some siding work that needed attention before the Northwest rain hits.
