I’ve always wanted to try my hand at wood carving so I spent the last two evenings taking a class here in Reno at The Woodworking Source, our main source for all things woodworking here in the Reno/Sparks area. Here’s my first project…... It was a hoot and very relaxing.

Well I’ll be doggoned, it looks like an old cowboy boot … I sure hope that’s what you were carving …
My first attempt at carving surely didn’t go so well … nor did my last attempt … some have the touch and some don’t, I don’t.
Congrats on a project well done.

That’s pretty darn cool. Like Grumpymike I don’t have the touch either. You certainly do Chris!

That turned out very nicely for your first carving. Now, you need to stick with it. Congratulations.
