This is the first actual wood working project I have done since I was in middle school over 20 years ago. This is also my first piece of furniture that is not just a wall hanging shelf. I got the inspiration from another project I saw and then just came up with the dimensions I needed to get it to fit next to the bed and not block the vent. My wife picked the colors and had the idea for the finish. It is all just cheap common pine boards and is entirely held together with pocket screws and wood glue. I am hoping it will hold up for a long time.

Beautiful colour. Fits good with that rustic style. Pulls are real match with top.

Thanks for the welcome and I am glad you like it. I had a good time building it and I see more projects in my future. The finish turned out better than I could have hoped for and the wife really likes it.
