1st attempt at bowl turning

1st time I was able to complete a bowl without a blow-out.(HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS) found scrap piece of wood sitting outside my daughters house. Not sure what kind of wood. But was fun to turn…GREAT THERAPY!!!

certainly better than my first bowl… which had to be glued back together!

That’s a nice bowl. I’ve always wanted to try turned bowls..don’t have the equipment…one day. Great work!

Very nicely done piece – looks kind of like hickory to me
I’m new to the turning game myself so I can appreciate what it took to get that without blowing it out!
