1st attempt at bowl turning

1st time I was able to complete a bowl without a blow-out.(HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS) found scrap piece of wood sitting outside my daughters house. Not sure what kind of wood. But was fun to turn…GREAT THERAPY!!!

Very nicely done piece – looks kind of like hickory to me
I’m new to the turning game myself so I can appreciate what it took to get that without blowing it out!
