VETERAN's WOOD WORKING COMPETITION

I had a bit of success at the Annual Competition for Veterans and serving personnel that was held in Melbourne the Capital City of Victoria. The shell was entered in the 3 Dimension section and I was pretty surprised with the result as it was up against some very good sculptures. The ribbon and bow had some stiff competition in the wood craft section and got the only Honorable Mention awarded. Better still was to collect $100 prize money and sold my three entries. Now to plan for next year.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

Wonderful piece of work. I seen a Youtube on making one with a Scroll saw and it looked really hard to do.

Congratulations, Bob! Was it hard to let the ribbon and bow go? You worked a long time to get that to meet. Did you take pictures of the competition? Maybe put them in a blog? Thanks for sharing.

Thanks all for the congrats. Yes Candy was hard as I didn’t put a big price on it but I have since got three more ribbons that have joined up and now have the job of enhancing them before posting.
